Residential solar

Your leads aren't the problem.
The first hour is.

Acquisition costs are up roughly 40% and installs are down. Most installers answer that by buying more leads. We work the other side: the ones you have already paid for.

Where the money goes

Three leaks. Same cause.

None of these are fixed by buying more leads.

01

The first hour

Homeowners collect three to five quotes. Whoever gets to a real conversation first wins most of them, regardless of price. Most installers call back in hours.

02

The second attempt

Most leads that convert are reached within six call attempts — and half of inbound leads are never called a second time. Most teams stop at two, then buy more leads to replace the ones they never reached.

03

The customers you already sold

Every past customer without a battery is a warm conversation you already paid to have. Most owners have never counted how many that is.

In California, anyone interconnected before April 2023 keeps their old rate and can add storage without touching their agreement.

What this assumes
  • Responding inside five minutes is worth half a point to one and a half points of close rate. The odds of qualifying a web lead fall roughly 21× between five and thirty minutes (Oldroyd / InsideSales, 2007). Those are odds ratios, not close rates, so the gain modelled here is deliberately far smaller than the multiplier suggests. Homeowners collect three to five quotes, and the first real conversation wins more of them than the lowest price does.
  • Ninety-three percent of leads that converted were reached within six call attempts, and half of inbound leads are never called a second time (Velocify, 2013, ~3.5m lead records). That figure describes leads that did convert, so we treat six attempts as a sensible ceiling rather than proof that a sixth call causes a sale. Leads that take six calls close well below the rate of easy ones, so they count here at 30% of your normal close rate.
  • Faster response and deeper follow-up fix some of the same lost leads, so the two are reduced by 25% where they combine.
  • A 10–13 kWh battery runs about $8,000 installed, at your margin, converting 2% of past customers without one.
  • Nothing captures a full opportunity. The recovery slider starts at 35% — move it to whatever you actually believe.
  • Sources and their limitations are set out in full on our evidence page.

At $2,500 a month you'd need 4.1 extra installs a year to break even — not per month, per year. On these numbers the recoverable amount is 2.1× that cost.

The question everyone asks

Do you work with our competitors?

We work with more than one solar company, and we won't pretend otherwise. Installers quote across service radiuses that overlap constantly — anyone promising you an exclusive territory is either guessing or about to break it.

What we do instead is simple. Everything we build runs inside your business: your site, your follow-up, your reviews, your customer list. None of it touches anyone else's, and none of it puts you in an auction against another client.

We also don't discuss who we work with. You'd get exactly the same.

Thirty minutes, your numbers, no pitch. If there is nothing leaking we will tell you that.
